Ingredients:
2 cups (240 grams) all-purpose flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
2 cups butter, softened
2 cups sugar
2 eggs, room temperature
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup milk, room temperature
Instructions:
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Grease an 8-inch pan.Sift the flour and baking powder into a medium bowl and set aside.
Step 2
In another large bowl, beat butter and sugar with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Add in vanilla.
Step 3
Pour in the flour mixture alternately with the
milk, mixing until just incorporated. Pour batter into prepared pan.
Step 4
Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 20 minutes. Cool the cake in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn the cake out onto a wire rack to cool completely. Cover with whipping cream (optional) . And Voila !!!
