Goan Chonak Fillet Fish Fry

Ingredients :

  • 3 fish fillets

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp red chilli powder

  • 3/4 tsp turmeric powder

  • 1-2 tsp water

  • Oil for shallow frying

  • Rava (Semolina), for coating











Instructions :


Step 1

Add the chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt in a bowl to make the marinade.You may also add some ginger-garlic paste.Add water and mix into a thick paste.



Step 2

Apply the marinade to the fish and rest for 15-30 mins.Next heat a pan and add some oil for shallow frying. Take rava in a plate. Place the fish fillet in it to coat one side. Next coat the other side. Dust off excess by gently shaking the fillet and place it on the pan.


Step 3

Fry on medium- low heat for about 5-8 mins till crisp. Then turn and cook on the other side. Add more oil if required. And Voila !!!
