Ingredients: For the Roast Masala:

  • 1/2 tsp Black Peppercorns (about 10-12 peppercorns )

  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds

  • 1/2 tsp cloves (about 10-12 cloves)

  • 2 inch Cinnamon stick

  • 1 tsp turmeric powder

  • 1 1/2 - 2 inch Ginger Piece (roughly chopped)

  • 8-10 Garlic cloves (roughly chopped)

  • 1-2 large Onion (roughly chopped, use 2 if you need more gravy)

  • 5 tbsp Vinegar

  • 1 tsp Salt

Other Ingredients:

  • 1 Kilograms Beef chunk

  • 1 large Onion (Sliced)

  • 4 Dry Kashmiri chilies

  • 4 tbsp Oil

  • Salt (as per taste )



Instructions:

Step 1

Wash the beef chunk .Pat dry with paper towel. Cut the meat into 4-5 large pieces. Grind all the ingredients mentioned under 'For the Roast Masala' into a fine paste and apply it to the meat pieces. Cover the bowl with cling film and marinate for at least 1 hour.



Step 2


In a vessel, add the oil. Take the meat cubes and fry them on high flame . Fry them on all sides till browned, for about 4 minutes. Add in the marinade, about 1 1/2- 2 cup water, onion and the kashmiri chilies.Cover and cook on low to medium heat for 45 minutes to an hour.


Step 3

Add more salt if needed. Let the meat cool completely before slicing it.Slice, serve and enjoy the roast meat. Use the roast meat to make chilly fry , sandwiches. And Voila !!!
