Red Velvet Cake (Eggless)

Ingredients : For Cake :

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 ½ cups sugar

  • 1 cup oil

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 teaspoon white or apple cider vinegar

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 1 cup buttermilk

  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder

  • 3 teaspoons baking powder

  • 1/2 cup (113 grams) butter, softened

  • 1/2 cup (120 g) sour cream

For Frosting :

  • 1 packet (227 grams) cream cheese, softened

  • ½ cup butter, softened

  • 4 cups confectioners' sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract



Instructions :

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour two 8 inch round pans.


Step 2

In a large bowl, mix together wet ingredients . In another bowl sift all the dry ingredients. Add dry mixture and wet mixtures alternately to the sugar mixture. Mix well. Pour batter into prepared pans.


Step 3

Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until done. Remove from oven, and cool on wire racks.


Step 4

Mix together cream cheese, butter , confectioners' sugar, vanilla. Frost cooled cake. And Voila !!!
